Doyle Costello District #1
yes.
Keith S. Gryboski District #1
This is an interesting question. I do not fully understand the process. There should be teacher input as to their contracts. How this is done, I am not sure at this point.

While this is largely a state-level matter, I believe Charleston County teachers should be competitively compensated and incentivized.
Courtney Waters District #4
I think teachers should be fairly compensated. I am not sure whether negotiating the contract is the solution or if it the solution should be higher pay for all teachers based on their experience. I also think teachers should be able to get bonuses for doing great work. I don't think the salary structure should be so rigid, but I haven't thought about the aspect of negotiation and what that would mean.

No-for all of the right reasons, contracts should remain the same for all teachers.
Doris Johnson District #8
I cannot because it is no different than the employees telling the employer what to do.
It would depend on what the teacher is proposing and how valuable is that teachers expertise is to the classroom.
It would depend upon the teachers expertise and needs for the enhancement of the students.
Darlene Dunmeyer District #8
Negotiation that happens after hire is typically scenario based. Providing a general response in support for or against without specific details warranting a negotiation is contrary to employment ethics.
